The answer is, it depends. In order to answer that question, you first need to know what affiliate marketing is.
Affiliate marketing is promoting a product or service online for a percentage of the profits. You could promote a digital information products (such as eBooks, eCourses and other digital downloads). The commission for these products is usually around 50% – although this could be more or less, there is no fixes percentage.
You can also promote physical products, everything from jewelry to camping equipment and heath supplements.
So let’s get back to our initial question. Is affiliate marketing halal? It is if you’re promoting halal products. And it isn’t if you’re promoting haram products or services such as dating sites or vitamin pills with gelatin in them, for example.
